1. Inspire - เป็นแรงบันดาลใจแก่... to encourage someone by making them feel confident and eager to do thing
ตัวอย่างการใช้ในรูปประโยค - to inspire + someone + to do something
-The success of his father inspires Somchai to study very hard. He wants to be like his father.
(ความสำเร็จของพ่อเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้สมชายพยายามเรียนอย่างหนัก. เขาอยากประสบความสำเร็จเหมือนพ่อของเขา)

3. despite - (preposition) แม้ว่า... (ความหมายในเชิงขัดแย้ง), .. something is true or happen even though something else might have prevents it.
- Despite all the effort to save her life, she died from the disease.
(แม้แพทย์จะพยายามอย่างยิ่งที่จะช่วยชีวิตเธอ เธอก็ตายลงด้วยโรคนั้น)
- Somchai went to Pattaya with his friends despite his father telling him not to go.
(สมชายไปพัทยากับเพื่อนๆ แม้คุณพ่อของเขาจะห้ามไม่ให้ไปก็ตาม)

4. to be able to - สามารถ..., having the skill, strength etc. which is needed to do something
- Somchai really wants to be able to speak English so, he practices speaking everyday.
(สมชายต้องการอย่างยิ่งที่จะพูดภาษาอังกฤษได้ ดังนั้นเขาจึงฝึกฝนทุกวัน)
- The dog was hit by car yesterday, now he is not able to walk.
(สุนัขนั้นถูกรถชนเมื่อวาน ตอนนี้มันไม่สามารถเดิน)

5. connect - เชื่อม โยงเข้าด้วยกัน, เกี่ยวข้องกัน, to join two or more things together. to relate to someone
- This road connects Bangkok and Nontaburi.
(ถนนสายนี้เชื่อมระหว่างกรุงเทพฯและนนทบุรี)
- The policeman says that there is no evidence to connect Somchai to the crime.
(ตำรวจกล่าวว่า ไม่มีหลักฐานที่จะเชื่อมโยงสมชายกับอาชญากรรมนั้น)

6. spell - สะกด(คำศัพท์), to form a word by naming or writing the letters
- Students should know how to spell commonly used words.
(นักเรียนทั้งหลายควรที่จะสามารถสะกดคำศัพท์พื้นๆที่ใช้กันทั่วๆไปได้)
- How do you spell your name?
(ชื่อของคุณสะกดอย่างไรครับ?)

7. All of a sudden, suddenly - ทันใดนั้น..., จู่ๆ (ก็เกิดบางอย่างขึ้นโดยไม่คาดคิด)..., quickly and unexpectedly...
- Nobody thought that there would be a storm, it all happens so suddenly.
(ไม่มีใครคาดคิดว่าจะเกิดพายุขึ้น ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างเกิดขึ้นอย่างกระทันหัน/รวดเร็วมาก)
- All of sudden, the roof falls down and the man is buried under it.
(ทันใดนั้นเองหลังคาก็ถล่มลงมา ชายคนนั้นถูกฝังอยู่ใต้หลังคานั่น)

8. realize that - รู้และเข้าใจบางอย่างขึ้นมาทันทีทันใด, to understand and aware of something
- He reaches in his pocket and realizes that he doesn't have any money.
(เขาล้วงมือเข้าไปในกระเป๋า และจึงได้รู้ว่าเขาไม่มีสตางค์เหลืออยู่เลย)
- Somchai did not realize that nose was bleeding until he saw the blood on his shirt.
(สมชายไม่รู้ตัวว่าจมูกของตนเลือดไหลจนกระทั่งเขาเห็นเลือดเปื้อนบนเสื้อ)

9. eager to - กระตือรือร้นที่จะ.., very keen and excited about something that you want to do
- I was eager to get back to work after that many weeks in the hospital.
(ฉันรู้สึกกระตือรือร้น/ตื่นเต้น ที่จะกลับไปทำงานหลังจากอยู่ในโรงพยาบาลมานานนับสัปดาห์)
- The dog is eager to go for a walk with its owner.
(สุนัขตัวนั้นตื่นเต้นที่จะไปเดินเล่นกับเจ้าของ)

10. suffer from -
- The old man suffers from heart attack since last year.
(ชายชราทุกข์ทรมานจากอาการหัวใจวายตั้งแต่ปีที่แล้ว)
- The children suffer from the shortage of food after the heavy flood.
